Melissa Smith is responsible for both the strategy and leadership of Fogelman’s corporate departments, including technology, marketing, accounting, and human resources. She is also a member of Fogelman’s executive committee. Prior to Fogelman Melissa gained experience in both operations, training and IT through different roles at Summit Properties and Insignia Management.
She earned a BS in Business and Economics from Randolph-Macon College. Melissa is a frequent speaker at national industry events and contributor to publications such as Units Magazine and MultiHousing News.
Melissa is currently serving as head of finance for her local school’s Family Partnership Steering committee and is an avid supporter of Strut for Kids supporting childhood cancer families.
